Ostrich / Strucc

Finally I decided to go to online programing and bought an Ostrich real time emulator and a G1 adapter from http://www.moates.net and downloaded (and registered!) TunerProRT from http://www.tunerpro.net . It's a blast and really speeds up the programing compared to chip burning. I feel I should do this step a lot earlier. Also I have to mention the awesome work of the NWSTP crew to create modified ECM and ALDL definition files. Check out their home page at http://www.nwstp.com .

So, now I've the right tool, I've made a lot of progress programing the Sy for the new fuel system. Racing season is starting this weekend, we will see how well I've done...

Már régóta kacérkodtam a gondolattal és most végül meg is léptem végre egy real time emulátor beszerzését. Az Ostrich-ra http://www.moates.net esett a választásom (ostrich=strucc, mert, hogy jobb mint egy emu :laugh, kellett hozzá még egy adapter az ECM felé ill. egy szoftver, ami pedig a TunerProRT http://www.tunerpro.net lett. Ez utóbbihoz szükség volt még a Sy computeréhez iródott definiciós fájlokra, amit az egyik amerikai SyTy csapattol ( http://www.nwstp.com ) sikerült beszerezni. Ezzel a programozás nagy mértékben gyorsult, minden online vátoztatható, akárcsal a stand alone cuccoknál. Haladgatok is az új üzemanyag rendszerhez törtnénõ progizással, hogy mennyire jól az a hétvégi szezonnyitó versenyen kiderül...

Server upgrade

I've upgraded the server behind tragacs.com last night. It's still a Sun Ultra 2, but it has received a little additional memory and the two 200MHz CPUs were replaced by two 300MHz ones. I know it sounds a bit slow in 2007, but it's working like a champ, and when it came out in '96, it was one of the best workstation available on the planet. Now I have a few spare parts as well.

Tegnap éjjel kicsit fejlesztettem a tragacs.com-ot futattó szervert. Maradt egy Sun Ultra 2, de kapott egy kis memóriát és két erõsebb procit (300MHz a 200 helyett). Tudom, hogy ezek az órajelek kicsit fáradtnak hangzanak ma már, de egyrészrõl a feladatra tökéletes, másrészrõl hihetetlen megbízható, harmadrészt ne felejtsük el, hogy ennek a gépnek bemutatásakor, 96-ban nem volt párja a munkaállomás piacon... Szintén látható, hogy némi tartalék alkatrésszel is rendelkezem.

Csabi's Syclone

There are only three Syclones in Hungary. One of the will be on the road again soon. It has a custom turbo, a built engine (eagle, srp) with a 412 cam. I've helped around a bit a few nights ago. Here is a picture...

Pimp Csabi Syclone-ja lassan újra talpra áll. Alapvetõen Csabi maga csinálja a munka oroszlán részét, egy picit segítettem Neki. Egy teljesen egyedi turbo lesz rajta, épitett moci Eagle H-beam hajtó karokkal es SRP dugókkal, plusz egy CompCams tengely. Kiváncsi vagyok.
