03/12/2008: "New Digital 6 /Új Digital 6"

As you might remember, my last race with the Sy went bad because of an ignition problem. After some investigation I found out that it was caused by the MSD Digital 6 Plus ignition box. It killed the coil and the ignition module. I've not sent the unit back to MSD for further investigation, but I always thought that the placement of the unit in the Sy's engine bay is far from ideal (1st picture), too close to the biggest heat source of all, the turbine. So I moved the new unit into the cab, hopefully it will live there longer...

Talán még emlékeztek, hogy a Sy utolsó versenyét egy gyújtás probléma miatt nem tudtam befejezni. Mint az később kiderült a problémát jó eséllyel az MSD Digital 6 Plus gyújtás erősítő okozta. Halál tusájában magával rántotta a trafót és a gyújtás végfokot is. Mivel nem vedtem a fáradtságot, hogy vissza küldjem a dobozt MSD-jékhez, de a probléma forrását a doboz rossz elhelyezésében látom, közvetlenül a legnagyobb hőforrás, a turbina mellett (1. kép). Így az új dobozt immáron a fülkében helyeztem el. Remélem hosszabb életű lesz mint az előző.
